TEETH STAIN:
There are two types of teeth staining:
- Extrinsic stains: these are surface stains caused by external factors like tea, coffee , red wine, tobacco products,calculus build up
- Intrinsic stains: stains within the teeth. Causes can be: trauma, some medications like tetracyclines consumed at the time of pregnancy, excess of fluoride at the time of tooth development aging process.
- In general, external stains are easy to clean and manage and internal stains are difficult to remove.
